If you’re looking for a pair of opposites, then Paul Abdul and James Corden make a perfect match. 

The former Lakers Girl scaled the heights of mainstream pop with her 1989 hit, “Opposites Attract.” Anyone would caught the video will remember she played opposite an animated cat. Turns out Corden can do play a singing, dancing cat just fine.

The couple teamed up to recreate the memorable clip for The Late, Late Show, with Corden taking on the MC Skat Kat role in an outfit that looked like a leftover from Ylvis’ “The Fox”. When Corden declares, “I like to smoke,” he’s not talking tobacco. Watch the lively performance below:
