Vance Joy's 'Riptide' Wins Grand Prize in 2014 International Songwriting Competition

The annual competition, which was created in 2002, “encourages songwriters to create, develop, and challenge their artistry by creating something truly meaningful,” comments Candace Avery, founder and director of the ISC.

Previous winners include Bastille, Gotye. Lindsey Stirling, Kimbra, The Band Perry, Andrew Bird, Passenger, Gin Wigmore, Missy Higgins, King Charles and For King And Country.
