'High School Musical 3' Actor Justin Martin Arrested After Shootout With Cops

High School Musical 3 star Justin Martin has been arrested after an alleged shootout with cops. 

After a chase, Boston police say Martin turned and pointed his gun without firing, but his companion did fire at officials.

Shots were fired back, though Martin wasn’t hit. Martin was caught and authorities recovered a .22 caliber pistol, according to TMZ. He was booked for unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and carrying a loaded firearm plus two counts of assault by means of a dangerous weapon.

In a court appearance Wednesday, Martin pleaded not guilty to all counts and bail was set at $35,000.

The Atlanta-born actor has more than 20 film credits to his name, including the Denzel Washington vehicle Flight from 2012 and 2009’s The Soloist, which featured Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr.  Martin played the Donny Dion character and appeared alongside Zac Efron in 2012’s High School Musical 3: Senior Year.
