Concert at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles. Hosted by actress Vivica A. Fox, the show will also feature performances by Garbage singer Shirley Manson, Angie Stone and Wilson Phillips.
The event, will be taped to air Oct. 28 on Lifetime, celebrates the women's cable network's 20th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of its public awareness campaign Our Lifetime Commitment: Stop Breast Cancer for Life."
"For the past decade, Lifetime has championed the fight against breast cancer," says Marian Effinger, the channel's VP of reality programming. "Everyone has someone in their life who has been affected by this disease. It is with tremendous pride that each year, we are able to put together an exciting show with such talented performers who dedicate themselves to getting the message out and raising awareness."
WomenRock! will also feature presenters Thora Birch, Linda Dano, Nancy Glass, Fran Drescher, Florence Henderson and Denise Richards.
Blondie will perform four songs, according to guitarist Chris Stein, including a duet with Manson. "Years back we toured with her early band, Goodbye Mr. Mackenzie," he writes on Blondie's official Web site. "I am looking forward to that we have a special number we are gonna try and pull off."
Manson is equally, if not more, excited. " I can't believe I'm going to be singing with Blondie," she writes on the Garbage site. "BLONDIE?!!? HELL.... what on EARTH am I going to wear?"
As previously reported, Blondie will also take part in Be Well: Ramones Beat On Cancer, an Oct. 8 New York benefit for Cedars Sinai Cancer Research Center and the Lymphoma Cancer Research Foundation.
