Chance the...Werewolf?

According to a new interview with Austin Vesely (the director of Chance the Rapper's "Sunday Candy" video), the rapper's starring role in his upcoming film Slice will be as Dax Lycander, "a werewolf who is a former Chinese food delivery driver."

Slice will be Vesely's feature-length debut -- he's cut his teeth making music videos for members of Chicago's Savemoney collective, which includes Chance, Vic Mensa and more. Inspired by a George Saunders novella, the film is a sort of supernatural murder-mystery. "These murders start happening," Vesely tells RedEye Chicago, "and they hearken back to an incident that happened with [Chance's character] years before, and they arouse the town’s suspicions."

Filming hasn't started yet, but Vesely's aiming to have a trailer by the end of the year -- keep an eye out for that. And don't forget to watch your back during the full moon.
