Miley Cyrus Photographs Gigi Gorgeous for 'Marie Claire'
Miley Cyrus is a photographer now!
The singer shared some pictures she took on Instagram of YouTube star Gigi Gorgeous, a transgender woman, for her #InstaPride campaign, working to confront stigmas by highlighting transgender and gender-expansive people in a series of portraits.
"I became fascinated with her because she did videos before transitioning and then she went MIA for a while and then she came back transitioned as Gigi Gorgeous," Cyrus told Marie Claire. "It was incredible to see someone so confident. That's what I think I get from her, and it's not just because she's beautiful. She has a confidence that comes from inside. She was beautiful before she was Gigi Gorgeous. She always had Gigi Gorgeous in her."
Check out a few of the pics below.
"I identify as a heterosexual girl. I've shared most of my transition online with my viewers. I am always asked, 'How long have you known you were a girl inside your body and mind? Have you always known?' I've always, always known." - @gigigorgeous #InstaPride #happyhippiepresents @happyhippiefdn @instagram
Meet Gigi (@gigigorgeous) a YouTuber from Canada who splits her time between Toronto and LA. She shares more about her experiences saying: "I felt really free to be myself after I posted my "I Am Transgender" video on YouTube. It was the hardest journey emotionally and psychically I've ever been through and it meant the world to me to have their words of encouragement every step of the way. Acceptance and support is just validation for me that I AM on the right path and did make the right decision for me because people are seeing it for what it is." #InstaPride #happyhippiepresents @happyhippiefdn @instagram
