Miami-based Latin pop act Bacilos will kick off a tour Nov. 10 in San Francisco. At deadline, nine dates were confirmed for the first leg of the run, with more expected next year.

The trek comes in support of its latest album, "SinVergüenza." Released in late September, the Warner Music Latina set is led by the single "Pasos De Gigante," which is No. 29 in its second week on Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks chart.

The album is the follow-up to 2003's "Caraluna," which peaked at No. 49 on Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. The set, which won best Latin pop album Grammy Award and netted a pair of Latin Grammy Awards, has sold 250,000 copies in the United States and Latin America, according to the label.

"Caraluna" spawned singles in the title track and "Mi Primer Millón," which peaked at No. 16 and No. 18, respectively, on Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks chart. The latter track was licensed for a Chevrolet television ad campaign.

Instead of continuing in the same vein that garnered hits and accolades, Bacilos created the socially conscious "SinVergüenza," which boasts lyrics dealing with race and class issues.

"One thing is to analyze your formula, change the hairdo and present it again," singer/songwriter Jorge Villamizar recently told Billboard. "We clearly did something different. We said, 'Now that everyone's looking, let's do what we really want to do and see if they bite.' And that's what we did."
