Republican Presidential Hopeful Says Caitlyn Jenner is 'Welcome' in His Party
One politician is already courting Caitlyn Jenner's support.
It's no secret that the modern Republican party has struggled with inclusiveness. While discussing his plans for a more welcoming party on CNN this weekend, South Carolina senator and 2016 presidential hopeful Lindsey Graham said that Caitlyn Jenner is "welcome" in his party.
"I haven't walked in her shoes. I don't have all the answers to the mysteries of life," Graham said in the interview. "I can only imagine the torment that Bruce Jenner went through. I hope he's -- I hope she has found peace."
"I'm a pro-life, traditional marriage kind of guy. But I'm running to be president of the United States," he continued. "If Caitlyn Jenner wants to be a Republican, she is welcome in my party."
Jenner may be interested in that -- during her sit-down with Diane Sawyer last month, she identified as Republican.
