Solo Artist of the Year winner Ellie Goulding attend the Glamour Women Of The Year awards at Berkeley Square Gardens on June 2, 2015 in London, England.

Ellie Goulding made headlines Tuesday when she posted a goofy photo of herself with Katy Perry and Lorde, then quickly deleted it.

Some fans suspect that axing it from the record might have been because of Goulding's friendship with Taylor Swift, who is reportedly not a big fan of Perry's (they may or may not have some "Bad Blood"). However, Goulding said the whole thing got blown way out of proportion on the Internet and the real reason she deleted the pic is some good old-fashion vanity.

"No, I deleted that because I looked bad in it," Goulding told reporters Tuesday at the Glamour Awards, saying that she deletes photos all the time. "And I think I was a bit drunk. And I thought it wasn't a very good  example of myself. That's so funny that, um, that's even a thing. No, I delete things all the time! ... I'm very used to things being made up. That's ridiculous. I'm great friends with Katy, I'm great friends with Taylor. That's very silly. I just looked terrible in it. I zoomed in on my actual photo, and I was like, 'no.'"
