"Our partnership with Tork Limited and the launch of Billboard Radio China is the next step for us as we continue the global expansion of Billboard," said John Amato, co-president of Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter. "With more than half-a-billion internet users in the country, the station will provide high-quality music programming to the largest online market in the world."

Currently the station operates a variety of music channels that include Asia Hits, Today’s Mix, Best of the '80s and '90s, Underground, Dance and Chill Out. It also produces and airs innovative proprietary talk-show programming. Moving forward under the Billboard brand, it will offer music news, backstage reports and interviews with Chinese musicians.

"Tork has already built a strong platform with a dedicated customer base," said Jonathan Serbin, head of Asia for Billboard. "Now, combined with Billboard's assets—music news, charts and access to the most important music events—we believe the station can rapidly become one of the most exciting music destinations in China."

"We are thrilled to be working with Billboard," said Gregory Bowers, president of Tork. "Billboard Radio China will create top-quality original programming aimed at the Chinese audience and will introduce listeners from all countries to the hottest bands and music trends in China."
