Shamir's Cover of Kacey Musgraves' 'Merry Go Round' Is An Unexpected Delight

Shamir Bailey, one of the music scene's hottest up-and-coming acts, is perhaps best known for his uniquely flexible voice (he sings in an androgynous countertenor). On Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show yesterday, he applied it to an unexpected cover: Kacey Musgraves' hit country single "Merry Go Round." "It's just a song I sing to myself all the time, when I have the guitar in my hands," he tells Mac.
