This week New Found Glory did something really sweet for a horse who was about to be slaughtered: they rescued her.

After the band's guitarist, Chad Gilbert, came across an ad for the 1-year-old horse (who also happened to be called New Found Glory) on social media, he decided to call up to his bandmates to see if they wanted to do some good for her. He tells TMZ that after consulting with his bandmates, "everyone thought it would be great." After buying the horse from auction at $350, they later found her a home in Texas with some assistance from Freedom4Horses.

He also shared the news on Instagram and included a snapshot of the horse. "Meet @newfoundglory the HORSE!" he wrote on Wednesday (May 27). "Last night at 9pm I came across a horse that was supposed to be slaughtered at 10 am this morning. Sooooo we bought it! Saved it and found her a home! She is somewhere in Texas now and I hope we get to meet her in person soon!"
