Earlier this year, Pierce Fulton landed on everyone's radar with his surging single "Runaway," which topped the Billboard Twitter Trending 140 chart thanks to a remix from Hollywood actor/musician Ansolo. Today the Vermont-born DJ/producer's latest release, the euphoric "Kuaga," should get another boost thanks to a new vocal mix premiering exclusively on Billboard.

Check out the fresh version of the summery single, titled "Kauga (Lost Time)," that brings youthful vocals and chants into the fold, giving it the means to follow a similar trajectory to hits like Deorro's "Five Hours." With Smirnoff already picking up the cut for a TV campaign and a bow at No. 40 on Billboard's Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart (so far), it shouldn't be long before you hear the track at a BBQ or rave this summer.

"The success of 'Kuaga' took me totally by surprise," the 22-year-old tells Billboard. "I wrote it pretty quickly and didn't approach it with any lofty expectations or ambitions. There was no overthinking involved, it felt very natural. At first I was resistant to the idea of adding a vocal -- so much of the time it can sound really forced when a dance track has a vocal added -- but I took my time and crafted something I felt was really true to the spirit of the original. I'm pretty overwhelmed by the reactions already."

"Kuaga" was initially released on Fulton's Kuaga EP, featuring the single as the title track and "Noon Gun." Look out for the "Lost Time" mix to drop digitally next week.
