FleaRed Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea and singer/songwriter Joan Baez have joined the lineup for the second We the Planet Music and Activism Festival. Flea will speak at the event, will Baez will join previously confirmed performers the Roots, the Dead's Mickey Hart, the Coup, Michelle Shocked and Third Eye Blind.

We the Planet will be held Nov. 13 at the Kaiser Convention Center in Oakland, Calif. Power will be generated without tapping into the city's traditional supply, thanks to bio-diesel fuel generators and solar panels.

Prior to the music, workshops on media, activism and voting will be held across the street from the Kaiser Center at Laney College. Tickets are available via In House Tickets, while VIP packages can be obtained from Circle of Life by calling (510) 601-9790 ext. 6.

ThrillsNew York public radio station WFUV will on Nov. 24 issue the seventh edition in its "City Folk Live" series of live performances. The set sports tracks from the Thrills, Fountains Of Wayne, Emmylou Harris, Rufus Wainwright, Joss Stone, Jamie Cullum and Ani DiFranco, among many others. The album is available with WFUV membership via the station's

UNKLEUNKLE will release the second single from its new album, "Never, Never, Land" on Nov. 30 via Global Underground. "Reign" features former Stone Roses singer Ian Brown and will be available in a variety of formats, bolstered by remixes from Way Out West, Morgan Geist, RJD2, Evil 9, Anagram and Beat Pharmacy, among others. Brown appears with UNKLE in the Daniel Askill-directed video, which can be viewed on Global Underground's
Web site.

In other news, UNKLE is among the acts tapped to remix portions of the score from the new Pixar film "The Incredibles." The duo's track, as well as remixes by Ursula 1000, DJ Reset and Diplo, can be found on "The Incredibles Remix EP," which is available exclusively from Apple's iTunes Music Store.
