Adam Levine may have just gotten a little too much sweetness in his life.

Prior to performing with Maroon 5 on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday, the singer was accosted by a fan who threw powdered sugar on him, say eyewitnesses. The incident occurred just outside of the show's Hollywood theater.

A show source told The Hollywood Reporter that the apparent prankster has been arrested.

According to the source, the alleged sugar-thrower also allegedly threw a rock at Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson last week, for which he was arrested. It is likely not a coincidence that Maroon 5's latest single is "Sugar."

A rep for the show tells THR, "Immediately after the incident occurred, Jimmy Kimmel Live security followed protocol and alerted LAPD who responded quickly and are looking into the situation." Levine and Maroon 5's performance on Kimmel otherwise went off without a hitch.
