Watch Mumford & Sons Perform 'Believe' on 'Letterman'

David Letterman might have one foot in retirement, but he still has some serious tricks up his sleeve before he steps out that door for good. 

The late-night talk show legend booked Mumford & Sons as the musical guests for his show overnight. The British alternative rock outfit used the platform of the Late Show to perform "Believe", an atmospheric new track which introduces synth and a heavier drum sound into the band’s mix.

"Believe" appears on the new album Wilder Mind, the band’s third and the follow-up to 2012’s Grammy winning Babel.  Marcus Mumford has gone on the record as saying it’s a “significant departure" from the London band’s earlier folk-rock sound. Their appearance on “Letterman” really drives that point home. Watch the clip below.
