The 89-year-old blues legend began his recording career in 1949. He won a Grammy in 1970 for his signature hit, "The Thrill Is Gone," and his 1965 LP Live at the Regal is considered one of the greatest live albums ever recorded.

After a lifetime as a tireless road veteran, King canceled all tour dates in late 2014 due to health issues.
