B.B. King in Home Hospice Care
"I am in home hospice care at my residence in Las Vegas," King said on his Facebook page. "Thanks to all for your well wishes and prayers."
The 89-year-old blues legend began his recording career in 1949. He won a Grammy in 1970 for his signature hit, "The Thrill Is Gone," and his 1965 LP Live at the Regal is considered one of the greatest live albums ever recorded.
After a lifetime as a tireless road veteran, King canceled all tour dates in late 2014 due to health issues.
