Britney Spears performs at her "Britney: Piece Of Me" show at Planet Hollywood Casino Resort on March 4, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

UPDATE: After this story was published, Britney Spears tweeted the news herself.

It seems Britney Spears' onstage spill left her in worse shape than we (and she) originally thought.

After falling on stage during her Piece of Me show Wednesday night in Las Vegas, Spears is rescheduling her Friday (May 1) and Saturday (May 2) dates under doctor's orders, according to Caesars Palace.

"Britney injured her ankle during her performance Wednesday evening and her doctor has advised her not to perform Friday and Saturday evening so that she may heal," the press release states.

After her last performance, Spears thanked fans for their well-wishes and tweeted, "Had a little scare on stage tonight with my ankle but I’m ok!"

Now, it seems the show is erring on the safe side when it comes to Spears' health. Spears is pulling in about $15 million a year with her Piece of Me show.

Ticketmaster and the AXIS Box Office are handling exchanges or refunds. So far, no other dates have been canceled.
