Elvis Costello made his 27th, and most likely last, appearance overnight on the Late Show with David Letterman.
The British singer-songwriter performed a medley of Nick Lowe's "When I Write the Book" and his very own ‘80s hit, "Everyday I Write the Book".

Costello has good reason to feel bookish. He’ll release his memoirs Unfaithful Music & Disappearing Ink later in October, through the publisher Penguin Books. Watch the Letterman clip below:

Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire are two of pop music's most enduring and prolific outfits, and they’ve a long history of working together. The two bands filled the stage again overnight when they performed a medley for Jimmy Kimmel Live

Both bands formed in the late 1960s, and have enjoyed massive careers. Earth Wind and Fire's founding members have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame while Chicago has sold more than 100,000,000 records. Watch the clip below.
