Alex James, Damon Albarn and Dave Rowntree of Blur attend a photocall as Blur are announced as a headliner for British Summertime Hyde Park, on Feb. 19, 2015 in London, England.

Blur’s return to the road is gathering pace. The Britpop icons have just posted details of a mid-year tour of Australia which doubles the number of concerts they’ve announced for the year.

The four-piece will play Sydney’s Qantas Credit Union Arena on July 25, they then travel to Byron Bay for the previously announced Splendour in the Grass fest, and finish with dates at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on July 21 and Perth Arena on July 30.

Blur’s new album The Magic Whip began streaming online earlier this week ahead of its April 27 release date. Previously, the outfit has shared tracks "Go Out," "There Are Too Many of Us," "Lonesome Street," and "My Terracotta Heart" via various videos.

It’s been 16 years since the band's last album as the classic lineup of Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree. Blur's last full length was 2003's Think Tank, which Coxon missed.

Outside of Australia, Blur has just four live commitments locked in for 2015: Isle of Wight Festival (June 13), London’s Hyde Park (June 20), Super Bock Super Rock (July 17) and Benicassim Festival (July 18).
