Foo Fighters, Muse to Headline Radio 1's Big Weekend

This spring's Radio 1's Big Weekend line-up is an epic mix of pop and rock, with the Foo Fighters and Muse locking in headlining slots at the U.K. festival taking place this May, it was announced Monday (Apr. 20).

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl said in a statement, "I'm really excited - I can't wait to come out. I don't really think we've ever played there before so I'm looking forward to it."

While Muse leading man Matt Bellamy added, "I'm very excited to play. The last time we played Big Weekend, for us it was a disaster, so I can't wait to make up for it on this performance. I'm really looking forward to coming back and doing a great show. I'm pretty sure that we may unveil another new song that we will play for the first time which is pretty exciting."

Other acts on the line-up include Taylor Swift, Florence + the Machine, Years & Years, 5 Seconds of Summer, Sam Smith, Jess Glynne, Snoop Dogg, Fall Out Boy, Hozier, Rita Ora, David Guetta, Charli XCX and Olly Murs.

The A-list event will take place at Norwich's Earlham Park on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24 May.
