Ed Sheeran just might be coming to a TV near you.

The singer/songwriter revealed that he's been approached in the past to make a cameo on Game of Thrones, but hasn't been able to take anyone up on their offer due to timing. Now, however, he's hoping to change things.

"There were talks ages ago of me being an extra, which could have been cool. But every time they shoot it's the time I tour in the UK," he told The Sun, via Metro. "But I've got that time off this year, so I'm going to hound them."

And Sheeran is now very much prepared should he end up making that cameo. Earlier this month he was gifted with a GoT sword just like Jon Snow's from the series.

Sheeran would hardly be the first musician to make a cameo on the HBO show. In the past Coldplay drummer Will Champion as well as Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody both made appearances and very musical ones at that.

Those appearances have been included below in case you missed them the first time around.
