Tea Party favorite Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) recently announced he's running for the Republican presidential nomination, hoping to best the Democratic party's all-but-assured 2016 nominee, Hillary Clinton.

And hey, coincidentally, Rubio really likes a lot of that hip EDM music all you kids are listening to these days.

Musicians React to Hillary Clinton's Presidential Bid Announcement

"Electronic music -- I've gotten into a little with David Guetta, Axwell ^ Ingrosso, Swedish House Mafia, those guys," Rubio told TMZ when asked what he's listening to. "And I'm still a Nicki Minaj fan. She's very talented."

After announcing his presidential bid, Rubio walked offstage to Axwell ^ Ingrosso's "Something New." Unfortunately for him, the Swedish duo was not okay with that choice. "Axwell ^ Ingrosso didn't give their permission for this song to be used and don't want to be affiliated with a particular party during the upcoming presidential race," they told Business Insider in a statement.

Well, if EDM is out, here's hoping Nicki's "Come On a Cone" becomes his 2016 campaign theme song.
