Bobby Brown 'Looking Forward to Performing in Australia,' Despite Reports

Bobby Brown of New Edition performs during the Soul Train Awards 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Earlier Thursday morning (April 9), a report hit that Bobby Brown was being forced to fulfill his upcoming Australian tour dates despite the tragic circumstances that have befallen the Brown family. The report wasn't shocking -- Brown's only daughter with Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina, remains comatose in an Atlanta hospital, so the idea that Brown might want to postpone the shows wasn't unthinkable.

But according to a rep for Bobby Brown, that report isn't entirely true. When asked by Billboard if Brown was looking to postpone his upcoming May concerts in Australia, Brown's rep responded, "Bobby is looking forward to performing in Australia." So it seems the show will go on.

Brown's upcoming Australian dates were scheduled to make up for several March concerts he axed after Bobbi Kristina was hospitalized. Brown will be joined by Treach and Kay-Gee from Naught By Nature at these shows.
