Mariah Carey fans have just learned all they really want for Christmas.

Carey's long-rumored Christmas movie appears to be moving forward, with New Line reportedly buying an untitled Mariah Carey Christmas pitch, per Deadline. (A rep for the singer did not immediately return Billboard's request for comment.)

The site reports it's expected for Carey to play a major role in the film, and said movie will have a theme of "how the power of music can transport you back in time to your truest and most authentic feelings" -- think the transcendent joy you felt the first time you heard "All I Want For Christmas Is You."

The plan is to include songs from all different artists in addition to songs by Carey, according to Deadline, so perhaps a rehabilitated Biebs will show up alongside Carey once again. It's not known if the tunes will be from Carey's Christmas album, or new songs written for the movie.

Of course, Carey's international Christmas hit "All I Want For Christmas Is You" is already quite associated with another holiday film, but we can all agree that more of that iconic song each December is exactly what we all need.
