Billboard Bits: Out Hud, Mogwai, 'Cursed'

News on Out Hud, Mogwai, 'Cursed'

HudNew York rock act Out Hud will release its sophomore album, "Let Us Never Speak of It Again," March 22 via Kranky. The 10-track set will be preceded on Feb. 8 by the single "One Life To Leave," which will also include group member Justin Vandervoigen's "Requiem for a Requiem" remix of the title cut and the non-album track "Put It Away, Put It Away, Put It Away Dad."

On tracks like the single and "Old Nude," the new album incorporates the vocals of Phyllis Forbes and Nic Offer into the Out Hud sound, which has primarily been all-instrumental in the past. And like fellow New York rock act !!!, with whom Out Hud shares members, the group has injected not-so-subtle political commentary into the mix, as the new album features such song titles as "The Stoked American" and "Dear Mr. Bush, There Are Over 100 Words for Sh*t and Only 1 for Music. F*ck You, Out Hud."

Out Hud will hit the road in support of the album in April, beginning in the East Coast, South and Midwest.

Here is the track list for "Let Us Never Speak of It Again":

"This Just In
"It's For You"
"One Life To Leave"
"Old Nude"
"The Song So Good They Named It Thrice"
"How Long"
"2005: A Face Odyssey"
"A Trillion Watts"
"Dear Mr. Bush, There Are Over 100 Words for Sh*t and Only 1 for Music. F*ck You, Out Hud"
"The Stoked American"
