A beef quickly escalated between One Direction's Louis Tomlinson and UK producer Naughty Boy after the latter posted several messages that seemed to point at Zayn Malik's exit. He also shared a demo recorded by the former 1D member called "I Won't Mind."

Tomlinson took to social media after with a direct message for the music producer.

Naughty Boy shot back at Tomlinson and from there the twosome found themselves in a very public war of words.

After the exchange, Naughty Boy had another message.

While the remaining 1D members hadn't tweeted anything as of press time, Tomlinson tried to bring the attention back to the fans.

Malik confirmed his split from 1D last week. Shortly after, he spoke to The Sun and shared he was working on solo music.
