After news broke that One Direction will be one man down for a little while following Zayn Malik's exit from their current tour, bandmate Niall Horan took to Twitter.

A rep for the band confirmed to Billboard on Thursday that Malik will take some time away from the group. The group has two shows lined up for this weekend in the Philippines. Bandmate Niall Horan opened up about those dates on Twitter on Friday.

"Zayn has been signed off with stress and is flying back to the U.K. to recuperate," a rep for the band told Billboard one day prior to Horan's tweet. "The band wish him well and will continue with their performances in Manila and Jakarta."

It hasn't been confirmed when Malik will re-join the band, however it has been reported he may take the stage with 1D on March 28 in South Africa.
