'Frozen' Sequel Officially Announced

In a shareholders meeting earlier today, Disney finally confirmed what has long been thought an inevitability: A sequel to the huge hit Frozen is coming.

Upbeat New 'Frozen' Song 'Making Today A Perfect Day' Is Now Available

No other details, like a release date or cast confirmations, were immediately available, according to Variety's report, but it's likely still a bit of a way's off. The original, with the voices of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and others, opened Nov. 22, 2013 and has grossed over 1.2 billion dollars worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo.  

Do you (or your, err, child) need a quick fix of Arendelle? The animated short Frozen Fever hits theaters this weekend in front of Disney's Cinderella, and a Broadway version of the show is in the works as well.
