Brian Wilson Sets U.S. Tour
Brian Wilson will support his new album No Pier Pressure with a U.S. tour that will hit more than 15 U.S. cities. Former Beach Boys bandmates Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin will join Wilson and his band.
The tour starts June 18 at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga, Calif., and is currently booked through July 12 in Seattle. Rodriguez, whose story was told in the Oscar-winning documentary Searching for Sugarman, will open the concerts in every city except Detroit.
Wilson will perform songs from No Pier Pressure, his 11th solo studio album, which features collaborations with Kacey Musgraves and Nate Ruess; Jardine and former Beach Boy David Marks appear on two tracks. On sale details will be announced soon.
Prior to the tour, the Brian Wilson biopic Love & Mercy starring John Cusack, Paul Dano and Paul Giamatti will open in theaters June 5. The film will make its U.S. festival premiere on March 15 at the SXSW film festival.
