Exclusive: Watch Paul Simon Stop By 'Portlandia' for Awkward Q&A

Paul Simon guest stars on the Portlandia episode "Call Me Al."

Sadly, the season 5 finale of Portlandia (March 12) is drawing closer by the day. But take solace: Today, Billboard is exclusively premiering a clip from this season's penultimate episode featuring music legend Paul Simon.

As with the best Portlandia sketches, this one is absurd and believable at the same time: Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein hijack a fan Q&A with Paul Simon to ask a lengthy, pointless question that's more about them than him. This scene is for every time in life you've witnessed a question from the audience that doesn't actually include a question.

Watch Simon (who has a comedy history with hosting SNL and appearing in Annie Hall) face Fred & Carrie in the exclusive clip below. Watch this brand-new episode of Portlandia on Thursday, March 5 at 10 p.m. ET on IFC.

PS: Look closely -- the fictional memoir Simon is promoting in this scene is titled, You Can Call Me Paul. A+
