Kelly Clarkson Was Joking About People Turning Her Down, John Legend Duet Coming Soon
Humor can sometimes get lost in translation during interviews.
The "Heartbeat Song" singer tweeted she was "joking" when she made comments to BBC Radio 1 about other A-list singers turning her down.
For reference, here's what she told BBC: "I honestly would collaborate with a lot of people, but everyone usually says no. I'm not kidding you. I have legitimately asked several people that I'm not going to call out, and that's cool, but I don't know."
In contrast, here's what Clarkson had to say Tuesday on Twitter:
Ok, I was making a joke about people not singing with me! The press is really twisting this comment just FYI! No big deal. New story please-- Kelly Clarkson (@kelly_clarkson) February 24, 2015
Obviously my humor is not translating ha! PS my duet with John Legend is coming out tomorrow #collaborationstation-- Kelly Clarkson (@kelly_clarkson) February 24, 2015
So yes, get ready for Kelly and John's duet! Piece By Piece isn't far away, either -- it drops March 3 on RCA Records.
