Slint guitarist David Pajo posted a picture of himself giving the "thumbs up" sign in a hospital bed after reportedly attempting suicide in his New Jersey home on Thursday (Feb. 12) night.

Pajo -- a 46-year-old multi-instrumentalist who has played with Interpol, Zwan, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and many others -- posted a detailed suicide note on his blog Thursday night. In the blog post, Pajo accuses his wife, with whom he has two children, of having an affair. "Suicide is the only way out of this mess," Pajo wrote.

Friday morning, CoS reported Pajo's mother confirmed via email that her son "is in the hospital, but is expected to be OK." It's unknown what stopped the alleged suicide attempt.

An editor at The Thin Air shared an email he received about Pajo from Lance Bangs, director of the 2014 documentary Breadcrumb Trail: The Story of Slint, on Twitter. The email reads, "He is OK, they were able to save him."

Here's wishing Pajo a quick physical and emotional recovery.
