Whether it be touching lyrics like "The House That Built Me" or her early classic "Gunpowder and Lead," Miranda Lambert has always recorded songs about real life. Her latest disc, Platinum, continues this trend with songs like the powerful "Babies Makin' Babies." In part two of our exclusive look inside the album that topped Billboard.com's list of the best country albums of 2014, Lambert sits down with writers Nicolle Galyon, Natalie Hemby and Jimmy Robbins to discuss their inspiration for the song.

"It's not something that people want to necessarily talk about," Lambert says of the track -- which tells the story of young small-town couples who end up pregnant. "But everybody should," she adds, "because it's happening everywhere."
