Lil B reportedly escaped from a two-alarm fire at his home in California earlier this week after he was alerted of the blaze by his 15-year-old neighbor.

While the rapper wasn't hurt, some of his tour costumes and some of his music was damaged. The report added that most of his belongings survived the fire. "I'm grateful to be alive," he told the Contra Costa Times about the Thursday morning fire. "If that kid didn't come knocking on my door."

The 25-year-old rapper and the neighbor both live in the duplex home in Concord. One firefighter was hurt. Authorities suspect an electrical fire is to blame as the cause for the incident.

"I've got to thank the Contra Costa Fire folks for doing such an amazing job keeping it contained," the rapper said. "They were extraordinary. It could've been so much worse than it was. Like I said, I'm grateful to be alive."

Lil B later commented about the fire on Twitter and Instagram, where he asked fans to help out by sending money through his paypal.

"The fire will not stop me," he wrote on Instagram.
