Bad news for Adele fans: Her third studio album might not be arriving until the end of the year -- if then.

Sources "close to Team Adele" tell Music Business Worldwide that "logically, there's now almost no chance" of the full-length album being ready before "the second half of 2015."

Another source said "the album will be released when it's ready -- [we hope] that will be at some stage in 2015."

And if that isn't enough to make you cry, some sources allude to the album possibly not even arriving this year. Adele's team -- which includes Columbia Records and the U.K.'s XL/Beggars -- has expressed to MBW that they're supportive of the singer-songwriter taking her time with the upcoming album.

Many expected Adele to release her third studio album at the top of the year, as she did with 19 and 21, which were released in January of 2008 and 2011, respectively.

A representative from Adele's team says they have no update at this time on a potential release date.
