Management of Air-Edel Associates -- the British music production company/publisher that also represents composers, songwriters and editors and offers music-supervision services -- has purchased the company from music financier Cutting Edge Group.

Air-Edel managing director Maggie Rodford, backed by an investor group led by Robert Cope, orchestrated the deal and will continue to run the company. The company has offices in London, the location of Air-Edel Recording Studios, and Los Angeles. Cutting Edge has owned Air-Edel since 2007.

Air-Edel, founded by Beatles producer Sir George Martin in 1969 to manage composers writing music for commercials, has a composer roster that includes Dario Marianelli, Lisa Gerrard, Henri Wilkinson and Patrick Doyle. Songwriters include Jimmy Harry and Taura Stinson; Amine Ramer is among the music supervisors they represent.

Cutting Edge Group is an international music financier and services provider for film, television and advertising. It has provided investment capital and music services to more than 400 feature films, most recently Fury and the newly Oscar-nominated Whiplash.
