When Katy Perry takes the stage on Feb. 1 for the Super Bowl halftime show, she'll be getting some assistance. Lenny Kravitz has been tapped to play with the "Dark Horse" singer.

The NFL confirmed the news on Twitter on Jan. 10.

Prior to the NFL's tweet, Perry herself hinted at some big news related to the event on her own Twitter account.

The Super Bowl is slated to take place at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Phoenix, AZ. Perry later retweeted the NFL to confirm the news.

She will reportedly appear on The Today Show on Monday, where she is slated to open up more about the performance, according to E! News.

"My first special guest is going to be an incredible rock n roll icon, a guitar god. I'm going to have Lenny Kravitz on the show!" she says during Monday's interview.

"He's got so much style. He's the coolest. He's the King of cool," she continued. "He's going to make me so much cooler that day."

During the chat, Perry notes that she is also working on the possibility of more collaborations for the show.
