Rob Thomas Slices Off Part of His Finger

Rob Thomas is feeling a little unwell.

This morning (Dec. 30), the Matchbox Twenty frontman tweeted a photo of his hand, revealing a piece of skin severed off the top of his left middle finger. "At the hospital now," his caption reads. "There's supposed to be more finger there."



Indeed there is! According to another tweet -- this time showing a bandaged hand -- Thomas sustained the injury while making breakfast. 



But Thomas is tweeting through the pain, so it looks like he's going to be okay, sense of humor intact. He's been tweeting "songs of the day" lately (i.e., Death Can For Cutie's "The New Year" on Dec. 29) and today went with…



Thomas is a right-handed guitar player, so he'll have to hope the left hand injury doesn't effect his fretting. His next live date is Jan. 16 in Atlantic City, N.J.
