Iggy Azalea Should Focus on 'Racism in Australia,' Kreayshawn Says
The Twitter debate over Iggy Azalea's place in the hip-hop ecosystem keeps growing. It started as a back-and-forth between Iggy and Azealia Banks. Then a series of other rappers got involved -- Action Bronson, Q-Tip and T.I. -- along with the hacker group Anonymous. And now Kreayshawn has thrown her hat in the ring with tweets accusing Iggy of ignoring the racism in her home country, Australia.
IF IGGY FEELS SHE SHOULDNT HAVE A "SAY" IN AMERICAS RACSIM SHE SHOULD ATLEAST TALK ABOUT THE OBSCENE AMOUNT OF RACISM IN AUSTRALIA— SANTA'S LIL BAE (@KREAYSHAWN) December 22, 2014
I MEAN EVEN AS AN AMERICAN I AM AWARE OF AUSTRALIA'S RACE PROBLEMS AND I CANT EVEN SPELL THE DAMN COUNTRIES NAME LOL!— SANTA'S LIL BAE (@KREAYSHAWN) December 22, 2014
Kreayshawn became famous on the strength of her 2012 single "Gucci Gucci." Her debut album, Somethin' 'Bout Kreay, came out in September 2012. She recently directed the music video for Dev's "Honey Dip."
