Zac Brown, Alabama Shakes Announced for New Season of 'The Artists Den,' Samsung's Milk Gets Streams

Zac Brown Band will kick off the ninth season of Live From the Artists Den on PBS next year with a performance at New York's historic Forest Hills Stadium, scheduled to air Jan. 30.

The new season will also feature Alabama Shakes, Cage the Elephant and Damien Rice, the show announced Wednesday. 

Live From the Artists Den is acclaimed for hosting hour-long performances by a mix of established and up-and-coming artists in unusual venues. Additional sponsors for the Artists Den are Barnes & Noble, Citi, Lexus.

Phoenix Go Back to School For 'Live From the Artists Den'

For the first time, this season the show will be available via mobile streaming. Samsung’s Milk Video service will broadcast episodes every week, and will feature a selection of past episodes condensed into 30-minute pieces. As well, Milk Music users will be able to listen to tracks from the show on the new Artists Den Live Music station.
