After breaking records with their debut Night Visions, Imagine Dragons will be looking for new worlds to conquer when the sophomore effort, Smoke And Mirrors, drops in 2015.

To follow up lead single “I Bet My Life,” the band is sharing a second new song called “Gold.” Billboard has an exclusive first look at the artwork below:

“’Gold’ is one of the last songs written for this album,” frontman Dan Reynolds tells Billboard. “I came home from tour with my head spinning and decided to run away for a bit to the west coast and reflect/write about the last couple years. If you listen closely to the sample of me whistling into my laptop by the ocean, you can hear a wave that crashed while I was recording it. I loved the take because it seemed to crash perfectly in time. It takes me back to that spot every time I hear the song.”

Take a listen to the song below. What do you think -- did Reynolds and company turn this track into gold?

So far, lead single “I Bet My Life” has so far peaked at No. 53 on the Billboard Hot 100 in five weeks on the tally. On Alternative Songs, No. 5 has been its highest position thus far. It got its live premiere during the Nov. 23 American Music Awards broadcast.
