Less than a month after Zayn Malik had to sit out a performance on The Today Show due to illness, Louis Tomlinson missed One Direction's performance at the NRJ Music Awards in France on Dec. 13 also because he fell ill.

Tomlinson took to Twitter ahead of the event to share with his fans that he was "sick all night" ahead of the performance. He added that he was "Absolutely gutted!!. So sorry to let our fans down at NRJ. πŸ™ sorry πŸ™ hope the lads smash it !!"

The group did take the stage, as a foursome, to perform their Four single, "Steal My Girl," according to footage posted online. They also took home the award for International Duo/Group. Tomlinson hoped to be better by Sunday. The group is slated to take the stage during the X Factor U.K.finale on Dec. 14, where they are scheduled to perform "Where Do Broken Hearts Go."

The X Factor gig caps off a busy week for One Direction. On Dec. 11 they also took the stage at the inaugural BBC Music Awards.
