He announces he’s “working on a bunch of stuff” with Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij.

For the second installment of the Alt In Our Stars podcast, we're here to remind you that we're just as much about the "alt" as we are about the stars. For almost 20 years, the music of the dapper Hamilton Leithauser has existed comfortably below the mainstream, first with indie rock greats The Walkmen and, recently, as a seasoned solo artist, who debuted in 2014 with the LP Black Hours.

Billboard's Chris Payne chatted with Leithauser about going solo, the hazards of being an indie rock frontman (seriously, check out his story for The Talk House), Walkmen memories, raising two little girls, and some special collaborators.

The Alt In Our Stars Podcast: Pete Wentz Talks New Fall Out Boy Album

Hamilton discusses working with Fleet Foxes/Blood Brothers bassist Morgan Henderson and Vampire Weekend studio wizard Rostam Batmanglij, with whom he announces he's "working on a bunch of stuff" since a fruitful recording session on Thanksgiving weekend in Washington, D.C.
