Michael Clifford of 5 Seconds of Summer couldn't find his passport, so his band was forced to play without one of their guitarists at last night's Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball.

After the event, the band tweeted, "We did our best."

This year, 5 Seconds of Summer went on tour with One Direction, who have also had some personnel issues recently: they played the Today show without Zayn Malik last month. Unlike Zayn, Michael recorded an apology video, which you can watch below. He joked, "Tell the other guys they stink!"
