Morrissey Cancels More Tour Dates, But Not Because of Illness

Morrissey's "World Peace Is None of Your Business," 2014

Morrissey’s tour behind his 2014 album World Peace Is None Of Your Business -- dogged by controversy, bad luck and illness -- has hit yet another snag in its final European leg. The former Smiths frontman has cancelled three shows and rescheduled two more.

A trio of performances have been cancelled and postponed until 2015: Dec. 13 at Lausanne, Switzerland’s Les Docks, and two Netherlands shows -- Dec. 15 at Gronigen’s De Oosterpoort and Dec. 16 at Tilburg’s 013.

An Athens show was postponed from Dec. 5 to Dec. 15 and an Istanbul show was postponed from Dec. 7 to 17.

Health issues have forced Morrissey to cancel two recent U.S. dates, while bickering with Harvest Records left him label-less. This time around, it fortunately was not the singer’s health that forced the itinerary to be changed.

How Morrissey and Harvest Records Unraveled

According to DIY, the Athens date had to be rescheduled because Morrissey missed his flight from London to Greece due to delays. “Logistical problems” apparently derailed the original Istanbul date.

Here are Morrissey’s remaining tour dates for 2014:

Dec. 10: Belgrade, Serbia (Belexpocentar)
Dec. 12: Zagreb, Croatia (The Zagreb Fair)
Dec. 15: Athens, Greece (Tae Kwon Do Arena)
Dec. 17: Istanbul, Turkey (Volkswagen Arena)
