The first post is a selfie showing Cox in a neck brace, while the second shot is of Cox’s father asleep in a hospital. “Still waiting for X-ray results or any real diagnoses,” reads the second caption. “Can't move much. Incredible pain. Thank The Lord God I am here and my dad is here with me.”

A rep for Deerhunter did not immediately respond to request for more detail on the accident.

Cox has released six studio albums as the lead singer of Deerhunter, most recently 2013’s Monomania, as well as three solo albums under the name Atlas Sound. He recently made his acting debut in the Oscar-nominated Dallas Buyers Club.
