Check Out Sleater-Kinney's Killer New Song 'Surface Envy'

After debuting its first new song in nine years via secret inclusion in a box set anthology, the reunited Sleater-Kinney continues to sneakily drop new music. At the conclusion of its Reddit AMA session on Dec. 2, the punk trio shared a blistering new cut called “Surface Envy.” Check out the song below and get ready for some walloping vocals from singer-guitarist Corin Tucker.

Previously, a snippet of the song (along with another new track, ”No Cities to Love”) was shared during an NPR All Songs Considered interview. The first song from new album No Cities to Love was “Bury Our Friends,” which was uncovered in the career-spanning boxset Start Together on Oct. 19.

And even though the highly-influential, great American punk band has been around since the mid-'90s, they still qualify for Billboard's Emerging Artists Trending 140 chart, where "Surface Envy" has been holding strong since its release.
