Run the Jewels Are Rapping EMTs in New Music Video

When you listen to Run the Jewels' ferocious new album RTJ2, do you imagine bandmates Killer Mike and El-P as rapping, smoking-in-the-ambulance EMTs? They are, and they made a "Blockbuster Night Part 1" music video to prove it. This is how Run the Jewels parties on a warm Atlanta night, medical-style. There's a little graphic imagery for a quick moment, but the track's lyrics are surprisingly cleaned up:

Notice that cat in a tree, and Killer Mike dangling a bouncy little toy? That's a reference to Meow the Jewels, the Kickstarter-funded project that will feature RTJ2 remixed with cat sounds. "Honestly, I've just been bookmarking YouTube cat videos. I have no idea how I'm going to do this shit, but I'm going to figure it out," El-P recently told Billboard. "Cats are apparently popular on the Internet."

In late October, just before releasing RTJ2 online for free (despite having purchase-able packages on the group's website), a video of El-P auditioning cats for Meow the Jewels showed up online:
