'The Little Mermaid' 25th Anniversary: Watch Miley Cyrus, Darren Criss, And More Of Our Favorite 'Part Of Your World' Covers

Today in You're Old: The Little Mermaid was released in theaters 25 (!) years ago today (Nov. 17), ushering in an era of children desperate to go under the sea.

The Disney film that told story of Princess Ariel was responsible for introducing children to now-classic Disney songs including "Under The Sea," "Kiss The Girl," "Poor Unfortunate Souls" and, of course, "Part of Your World," which nearly every single child has sung into a hairbrush at some point or another. The soundtrack, with music by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, went on to receive the Academy Award for Best Original Score and Best Original Song (for "Under the Sea").

They're Just Like Us" moment -- turns out everyone from Miley Cyrus to Darren Criss loves to channel Ariel every now and then.
